Sean Martin

Director - Equities

Sean Martin runs our equities strategy. Prior to Belmont he was a co-founder, Director and CIO of Solaris Investment Management. During his 16 years there, the boutique grew from a startup to managing funds in excess of A$14b.

Sean started his funds management career in 1996 at Schroders in Sydney and has been managing Australian equities portfolios ever since.

Deep market knowledge and a fundamentally driven analysis alpha generative process, forged over these 25 years, are at the core of our equity product.

Tom Barraket

Director - Carbon and Commodities

Tom runs our carbon and commodities product. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds Bachelor of Agricultural Economics degree, graduating with Honours from the University of Sydney.

Tom has been in financial markets for over 17 years starting his career with Bank of Scotland Treasury, before joining Commonwealth Bank of Australia. At Commonwealth Bank Tom was responsible for managing several commodities portfolios out of Sydney and London. He has deep knowledge of Commodities and Carbon markets, and prior to his departure he was Head Portfolio Manager for the Carbon and Agricultural Commodities Business, controlling assets in excess of A$12b.

His Belmont strategies involve exploiting arbitrage opportunities in carbon and commodities markets where his experience, systematic process, funding and network, combine to act as a competitive advantage.

Laura Cotter

Director - Risk and Compliance

Laura manages the Legal, Risk and Compliance side of the Belmont business.

She is an Australian qualified solicitor and data protection specialist with more than 1O years experience. Before joining Belmont Laura was an in-house lawyer for CBRE and the GWS Global Head of Data Privacy spending time in both Sydney and London. Prior to this Laura worked with Matthews Dalton in Sydney, and First Derivatives in Ireland.

She has a B.Civil Law and Masters of Commercial Law both from University College, Dublin, and is a qualified lawyer in NSW, Australia.

Will Chapman

Analyst

Will Chapman is a driven and highly analytical professional in the last year of his B. Law (Honours) and Economics double degree.

His experience includes 2 yrs as a part-time analyst with Morgans Financial Ltd corporate finance team, based in Brisbane, as well an internship at J.P. Morgan investment banking division, based in Sydney.

This academic and professional background gives Will a solid understanding of financial markets, which combined with his strong work ethic and natural passion for equity markets in particular, makes him a valued member of the Belmont team.
